The City of Anaheim gives each household three free bulky item pickups per calendar year through Republic Services, with up to 20 items per pickup. You list the items when you schedule, then move them to the curb on pickup day. Republic does not go into homes to get items, and the city notes the service isn't meant for emergency removals.

That works well if you can get everything to the curb and can wait for your date. If the items are heavy, upstairs, in the backyard or in a garage packed to the ceiling, or if you've already used your pickups for the year, we're the easier option. We carry it out from wherever it is.

Many hillside homes have a spa tucked behind the house, with steps, slopes or a side yard between it and the street. We break spas down so they fit through tight spaces.
